Tab Overview
general
What is the delivery time for my jewellery?
For silver jewellery, allow 4 weeks; for gold-plated jewellery, 6 weeks.
For jewellery in 18K yellow, rose or white gold, it is best to allow 4–6 weeks.
Many pieces are in stock in our shops. If you would like to receive your jewellery as soon as possible, you can reach our studio in Ronse at 055 60 49 32 or our shop in Ghent at 09 329 08 78. You can also email shop@elisalee.be — we reply within 24 hours. We are happy to see how we can help!
*Rings from the Lux or I Do collection in 18K are not in stock. We can, however, lend you prototypes that you later exchange for the final piece.
*Every piece of jewellery you buy can be exchanged free of charge within 3 weeks. This does not apply to custom-made jewellery.
What is the delivery time for my sale jewellery?
All sale jewellery is in stock and can be shipped right away; we always ship parcels on Thursdays.
Would you rather pick up your jewellery in one of our shops? We will let you know when it is ready in the right shop — allow up to 1 week (only in Antwerp and Leuven it may take a little longer, depending on when we are in those shops).
Bracelets sometimes still need to be adjusted in size, which can take a little longer — allow up to 2 weeks.
Can I have a custom engraving? My own drawing or my own font?
Absolutely! Apart from the Elisa Lee fonts, you can choose your own font, handwriting or drawing. Together we look at where the engraving can be placed. Depending on the size of the surface, we choose the most beautiful option.
How do I determine a ring size?
There are three options:
- Order a ring sizer from us; we will send it to you free of charge.
- Use the app “Ring Sizer by Jason Withers” and place an existing ring of yours or your partner’s on the screen. Note: choose a ring with a round band that is worn on the right finger. Keep in mind that there is often a difference between the ring size of the left and right hand.
- Feel free to visit one of our shops; we are happy to measure your ring size!
Extra tip: use our prototype system and choose a temporary (dummy) ring in any size. After giving the prototype, you come back together and we look at the requirements for the final ring. That way you don’t need to know the ring size in advance.
How do I determine the ring size for a braille ring (on the inside)?
We recommend choosing the size on the generous side, as reducing the size is difficult or impossible.
Our studio team will convert the size themselves. In the worst case, a size 54 becomes a size 57 when the inside is fully covered in braille. Don’t worry about the price — this is already included in the surcharge.
Which material is the most durable?
Solid 18-carat gold is the best choice. At Elisa Lee we resolutely choose the sturdiest and most durable solution. It may be more expensive, but it lasts a lifetime and many generations after. After 18 carat, 14-carat gold scores best. Silver and gold-plated jewellery come third and fourth. The gold layer can wear off over time. Make sure this jewellery does not come into contact with moisture.
Diamond is the hardest stone there is. It scores 10/10 on the Mohs scale of hardness.
Sapphires are the second hardest.
Next come tourmaline, aquamarine and morganite. Glass scores around 5.5 on the Mohs scale.
What gold does Elisa Lee work with?
For jewellery with gemstones, wedding rings, engagement rings and custom jewellery, we only choose fair 18-carat yellow, white or rose gold, because it is the most durable and highest quality. Read more about our gold under ‘our metals’.
Why are some pieces in silver or 18-carat white gold only available with a rhodium layer?
Rhodium is a silvery-white metal. A layer of rhodium on the jewellery protects porous surfaces, such as diamanté or pelouze finishes, against oxidation and dirt.
Can Elisa Lee make a design by another designer for me?
No, we don’t do that. We would, however, love to create a unique Elisa Lee design together with you.
What are pelouze and diamanté?
Pelouze and diamanté are finishing techniques. Using an engraving tool, tiny holes are punched into the surface of the metal. A pelouze finish has a rougher look, while diamanté adds sparkle.
repairs
How should I store my jewellery?
Store your jewellery in separate airtight pouches to prevent oxidation and scratches. Avoid warm and humid places, such as the bathroom. During dirty or heavy chores, it is best to put your jewellery aside so that chemical products or a hard impact cannot damage it. Is your gold jewellery or gemstone losing some of its shine? Briefly dip it in a bowl of lukewarm water with a little neutral washing-up liquid. Clean gently with a soft toothbrush and rinse thoroughly. Then polish the metal with a soft jewellery cloth and your jewellery is shine as new!
How should I care for my jewellery?
To keep your jewellery in top condition, it is important to care for it properly:
· Gold and gold-plated jewellery: use gold polish and a polishing cloth to keep a beautiful shine and prevent oxidation spots. Bring your jewellery in for re-plating in good time.
· Silver jewellery: silver can oxidise more quickly. Use silver polish to restore the shine. It is available in our shop or studio.
· Annual check-up: we recommend having gold jewellery checked once a year, free of charge. We polish or matte your jewellery if needed and check the stones and settings.
Extra tip: store your jewellery in a dry, dark place to prevent discolouration. Does your jewellery need thorough maintenance? Bring it to one of our shops — we are happy to help!
Help! My jewellery is broken! How can I fix it?
Take a look at our ‘jewellery clinic’, or visit one of our shops so we can look for a solution together.
Is there a warranty on my jewellery?
There is a two-year warranty on manufacturing defects. Repairs due to wear and tear are not covered by the warranty. Is something broken? Feel free to visit one of our shops. Together we will look at the best way to repair your jewellery.
Can the size of my ring be adjusted later?
Certainly. For custom-made rings, a fee may apply.
engage
What is the delivery time for an engagement ring?
- Standard delivery time: our jewellery is carefully handmade. Allow an estimated production and delivery time of 8 weeks.
- Cheetah formula: need your jewellery within 6 weeks and want to be sure it is ready on time? For a rush fee of €250, we guarantee delivery within this time frame.
- Prototypes: our shop also has prototypes that you can take home right away. This is a dummy version of a ring from our collection.
Is there aftercare for my engagement ring?
Of course! We contact you every year for a check-up of the ring and any gemstone or diamond. Didn’t receive this email? Check your spam folder or contact one of our shops — we are happy to help!
Do we get a discount on our wedding rings?
Yes! If you bought an engagement ring at Elisa Lee, you get 10% off the total amount of your wedding rings.
Do I get a certificate with my engagement ring?
You receive an Elisa Lee certificate with every engagement ring. For diamonds from 4 mm, we also include an additional passport.
Can the size of my ring be adjusted later?
Certainly. For custom-made rings, a fee may apply.
What budget should I plan for an engagement ring?
Delicate gold rings with a gemstone or small diamond start at €1,250 at Elisa Lee. The price varies depending on the amount of gold and the size of the diamond or gemstone. Feel free to browse our webshop to see different rings and their prices.
What if the engagement ring really isn’t their thing?
If you bought a prototype, your fiancé(e) can still adjust the design of their ring. They can change the colour of the metal and the stones, but it is also possible to choose a completely different ring. No stress!
On which finger do I wear my engagement ring?
The engagement ring is usually worn on the left ring finger, closest to the heart. Later, the wedding ring is added there.
What if my proposal didn’t go as planned?
We are so sorry to hear it went that way. We understand this can be a difficult and sensitive situation. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a cash refund, but if you wish, we can exchange the ring for a gift voucher.
Lab-grown diamonds, do or don’t?
At Elisa Lee we mostly work with natural diamonds, but in some cases we also recommend lab-grown diamonds. A lab-grown diamond has the same properties as a natural diamond and is formed in an accelerated way in a laboratory.
We do want to point out that we cannot guarantee any increase in value and that the production process of lab-grown diamonds still uses a lot of water and energy. That is why we keep looking for the most sustainable suppliers for our lab-grown diamonds.
prototypes
What is a prototype and when do I choose one?
A prototype is an item we have in stock. Colour, size and/or finish matter less here. We do take the chosen material into account. More expensive finishes are added later to the standard version of the prototype.
The prototype is a silver or gold-plated piece that is later exchanged for a custom-made ring. We always use the base price of the ring in the chosen material and the smallest size. If the final size turns out to be larger than the smallest size, a surcharge may apply in some cases. This only applies to wedding rings and signet rings. The other rings have a fixed price, regardless of size.
A prototype ring from our Lux, Shifted or I Do collection can be exchanged free of charge for a custom-made piece within 3 months. For a prototype ring from our other collections, you have 3 weeks to exchange it. Please note that the prototype must be returned unworn to the shop. Book an appointment in one of our shops both to borrow and to exchange a prototype.
When is it a good idea to choose a prototype?
- It is a gift for someone else and you don’t know the right size, colour or finish.
- You want to receive your parcel quickly and are happy with what is in stock.
- You want to buy an engagement ring but aren’t sure which ring your partner would like. Don’t worry! We lend you a dummy ring in a beautiful box for “your moment”. Afterwards, we welcome you both to finalise the design.
Can I use a prototype as an engagement ring or gift?
Yes, you can! We understand that you may not yet be sure about the right ring size, or that your partner wants to choose the final ring themselves. That is why we offer prototypes you can use as a symbolic engagement ring or gift. That way you still have something tangible to give, without having to make the final choice right away.
Would you like to come and choose a prototype? Book an appointment in one of our shops and we will be happy to help!
Do I need to make an appointment to exchange a prototype?
Yes, it is best to make a short appointment or send us an email. It is nice for your partner if we can take some time for them when measuring the right ring size and going over the choices.
What is the deadline for exchanging a prototype?
You have 3 months to exchange the prototype, or you can discuss this in one of our shops. It is important to us that the prototype is returned unworn.
Can I wear the prototype until I have the real ring?
No, the prototype must be returned unworn when you come to order the final ring.
marry
Are there more rings in the I DO collection?
Certainly! The webshop only shows a small selection of the most popular models. You can discover our full I DO moodboard by appointment, where we can design a custom ring together with you.
Besides wedding rings, do you also have wedding jewellery?
Certainly! Take a look at our Moments, Fluid or Liquid collection. These pieces complete your wedding outfit perfectly! Would you like to try on a few pieces or could you use some advice? We are happy to help you personally in one of our shops.
How do we best care for our wedding rings?
You can maintain a matte ring yourself by rubbing it in one direction with a rough sponge. A shiny ring can be made to sparkle again with a jewellery polishing cloth. Prefer a professional polish? Then bring your ring to one of our shops.
To match or not to match?
In our opinion, a set of wedding rings doesn’t necessarily have to consist of two identical rings. Above all, the ring should look beautiful on your own hand. It can be nice to include a small nod to your partner’s ring, for example through the engraving, a colour or a recurring texture.
Can we order our wedding rings remotely?
If you can’t make it to an Elisa Lee shop, you can also order the rings via video call.
What budget should we plan for wedding rings?
The starting price for a ring is around €1,200. Most couples end up with an average of €2,500 to €3,000 for both rings. You decide yourself how budget-friendly or high-end the rings will be. Let us know your intended budget so we can take it into account as much as possible.
How far in advance should we book an appointment to choose our wedding rings?
Most people come 6 months in advance. That gives us time to spread the making process. It can be done faster too: allow a minimum of 10 weeks.
Cheetah formula – Need your wedding rings within 6 weeks and want to be sure they are ready on time? For a rush fee of €250, we guarantee that your jewellery is delivered within this time frame.
customization
Can you search for an exclusive diamond or gemstone for me?
Absolutely. Let us know your wishes and we will go looking for you! Think about the most important characteristics of the diamond or gemstone you want. Are you looking for a particular shape or size? Or is the colour shade more important? Once we have lined up the most beautiful options for you, you can make the final choice yourself.
Can I have a custom piece designed with gemstones other than those in the collection?
Certainly! We always look at the hardness of the gemstones, though. To guarantee the durability of the piece, we always look for gemstones that are not below 7–8 on the Mohs scale, especially for a ring. The Mohs scale indicates the strength and hardness of stones.
Can I have a custom engraving? My own drawing or my own font?
Absolutely! Apart from the Elisa Lee fonts, you can choose your own font, handwriting or drawing. Together we look at where the engraving can be placed. Depending on the size of the surface, we choose the most beautiful option.
In which materials can I have a custom design made?
For custom work, we only work in 18K yellow gold. This material is more expensive than silver or gold-plated silver, but guarantees the high-end quality and service of Elisa Lee. Moreover, a design in solid gold is much more durable than silver or gold-plated silver.
Can the size of my ring be adjusted later?
Certainly. For custom-made rings, a fee may apply.
Can I discuss a design via video call?
As a last resort this is possible, but because of the many possibilities of a custom piece we don’t recommend it. It works much better to meet in person and try on jewellery. That way you can make better and more considered choices for your design.
Can I have something made with my own gold, diamonds or stones?
Certainly! Take a look at ‘upcycling’.
Can Elisa Lee make a design by another designer for me?
No, we don’t do that. We would, however, love to create a unique Elisa Lee design together with you.
upcycling
What is ideal to reuse and what isn’t?
Gemstones with a hardness above 8/10 on the Mohs scale are our favourites (diamond, sapphire, ruby, aquamarine, tourmaline, …).
We only melt solid 18K yellow gold or solid 18K rose gold that has been checked by our goldsmiths and confirmed as good-quality gold (carat, purity). So no silver or white gold, which often contains traces of rhodium.
We don’t melt down fine chains (as they are usually heavily contaminated), but we are happy to reuse them for a new necklace. Plates, rings, medallions and coins are ideal as a base for melting. If there is not enough gold, we can add a portion of new gold.
Prices for custom work and upcycling depend strongly on the custom request.
Can I pay with old gold for a piece of jewellery?
Not all pieces in our collection can be made with old gold. We don’t reuse fine chains or white gold, which is often contaminated with rhodium. We are, however, happy to rework chains into a new necklace.
In that case you can pay (partly) with old gold. Elisa Lee deducts the old gold from the price of the design of a new piece. This only applies to gold that has been checked by our goldsmiths and confirmed as good-quality gold (carat, purity).
Do you also remelt gold below 18 carat?
We don’t, because this gold is often too brittle after remelting.
Do you buy old gold?
No, we don’t buy gold without making a new piece of jewellery. We are not old-gold dealers but specialise in making jewellery. This way you can increase the value of your old gold.
Do you always use the gold that was brought in?
In most cases it is important to the customer that the gold used really is the gold of a loved one, especially if it has a lot of emotional value. Unfortunately this is not always possible. We always commit to communicating openly about this, so you always know what is and isn’t possible.
How much gold is needed for upcycling?
We take in twice the weight of the gold to make a new piece. This is because there is always less gold left after reworking than at the start. Partly due to evaporation of material, and partly due to loss from the pieces needed to roll the gold. Some parts, such as clasps and grains, are not made from old gold because that can reduce the sturdiness of a piece.
As the value of old gold is half that of new gold, we build in this margin. Making an upcycled piece is an intensive process in which we don’t always know where we will end up. The amount of gold taken in rules out the risk of large losses.
I don’t know whether my inherited jewellery has any value. Are the gold and diamonds real? Is it a problem that I don’t know?
Not at all — we are happy to sort everything out for you together with our goldsmith in our studio in Ronse. That’s our craft!
Can I have a white gold piece made from yellow gold, and vice versa?
No, this is not possible. You can, however, pay for your design with your own gold. We then deduct the value of your gold from the design in new gold in the colour of your choice.
Do you also rework silver or white gold?
No, the cost of refining silver in-house is still too high compared to using new silver. We hope to get there in the future. Note: every year we have our leftover silver recycled in bulk into new silver by a specialised company. That way we work without waste of this precious material.
We only remelt 18-carat yellow or rose gold. For making your piece, we can deduct your white gold and work with new gold.
permanent jewelry
How do I book an appointment?
Via our endless page, social media or newsletter you stay up to date on the latest endless days. You can book an endless appointment via the appointments page.
How is the price of my permanent jewellery determined?
The base price of our endless collection is €150. We then measure your wrist (or neck or ankle) and add 0.5 to 1 cm. The chain you choose, together with the length, determines the final price. In this endless PDF you can find the overview with the price per centimetre for each chain.
To determine the final price, calculate: (wrist circumference + 1 cm) × the price of the chosen chain + €150.
Does permanent jewellery have a clasp?
No, our permanent jewellery has no clasp. Our goldsmith welds the chosen chain on the spot around your wrist, neck or ankle.
What if my permanent jewellery breaks?
Then we can weld the piece back together, on an endless day at one of our shops or in our studio in Ronse.
What if I have an accident or need surgery?
Then the bracelet can be neatly cut open so we can weld it back together later. If you have an accident in which the permanent jewellery is damaged, we are happy to look at the options in our studio in Ronse.
Can I have permanent jewellery made from an existing piece?
Certainly! This is possible provided the existing piece is made of solid 14K or 18K gold and is long enough to go around the arm, wrist or neck. The price for this also starts from €150.
Can I go through airport security with permanent jewellery?
Solid gold is not magnetic, so (just like all other jewellery and/or piercings) you don’t need to remove it before walking through the security gates.
gemstones and diamonds
Can you search for an exclusive diamond or gemstone for me?
Absolutely. Let us know your wishes and we will go looking for you! Think about the most important characteristics of the diamond or gemstone you want. Are you looking for a particular shape or size? Or is the colour shade more important? Once we have lined up the most beautiful options for you, you can make the final choice yourself.
Do I get a certificate with my gemstone or diamond?
You receive an Elisa Lee certificate with every piece with gemstones or diamonds. For diamonds from 4 mm, we also include an additional passport. If desired, we can also look for specific gemstones with a certificate.
Which stones are ideal to reuse and which aren’t?
Gemstones with a hardness above 8/10 on the Mohs scale are our favourites, especially for rings.
Which gemstone is the most durable?
Diamond is the hardest stone there is. It scores 10/10 on the Mohs scale of hardness.
Sapphire and ruby are second, with a hardness of 9.
Next come tourmaline, aquamarine and morganite. Glass scores around 5.5 on the Mohs scale.
That is why we keep looking for the most sustainable suppliers for our lab-grown diamonds.
grief
Do you make ash jewellery?
Yes, we even have a number of specific models in which the ashes of a loved one can be given a place. It is also possible to incorporate ashes into most of our collection pieces. Would you like something even more personal? Then we design a custom piece together so you can always carry your loved one close.
I don’t have ashes, but I would like to carry someone close. Is that possible?
Certainly. We are happy to think along with you about how to commemorate a loved one with a piece of jewellery. Sometimes that can be with a hair, sometimes with gold or gemstones you received. It can just as well be through a birthstone or a (handwritten) engraving. There are more options than incorporating ashes alone.
How can I hand over the ashes to you?
You can bring personal material such as ashes or a hair to our studio in Ronse. If that is not possible, you may also be able to bring it to one of our shops. Preferably make an appointment for this.
breast milk
Do you make breast milk jewellery?
Yes, if you can provide dried breast milk yourself. We don’t dry breast milk. Several collection pieces are perfectly suited for breast milk, or you can have a custom piece designed in the studio.
How do you dry breast milk?
To incorporate your breast milk, it must be delivered dried. You can do this yourself at home.
- pump 50 ml of breast milk and put it in an oven-safe bowl
- heat the milk au bain-marie until it has a creamy, buttery texture (approx. 2–3 hours)
- then put the bowl in a preheated oven at 60–70 °C (approx. 4–5 hours)
- put a wooden spoon in the oven door so the moisture can escape
- once the milk has dried, you can scrape it out of the bowl
- grind the pieces finely in a blender or mortar
How can I hand over my personal material to you?
You can bring breast milk directly to our studio in Ronse. If that is not possible, you may also be able to bring it to one of our shops.

The purchase is concluded when the customer has placed their order by clicking the "order button". The customer then receives a confirmation email from Elisa Lee. If this is not received, we ask the customer to contact us via atelier@elisalee.be. The items are delivered to the delivery address stated in the confirmation email.
Orders are binding: cancellation is only possible after consultation and against compensation of the costs already incurred. Instead of a refund, we offer a credit voucher with which the customer can discover a next piece of jewellery with us.
The customer can choose between the following payment methods: credit card, debit card or PayPal account. - General conditions
Elisa Lee reserves the right to accept or refuse orders. On simple request, the customer will be informed of the reason for the refusal. We cannot accept orders from minors. If a minor wishes to buy an item on our site, the order must be placed and paid for by an adult guardian.
A valid agreement exists between you and Elisa Lee when Elisa Lee receives the confirmation of your order on its website.
Elisa Lee may, however, decide to make the validity of the agreement subject to other conditions, for example orders placed by minors, when the order is incomplete or incorrect, or when previous orders have not been paid. - Offer
All products offered by Elisa Lee are described in as much detail as possible. The offers and prices are valid on the day they are offered on our website.
The items on our website are not shown at actual size. Furthermore, the colours shown may differ from reality because every monitor has different settings. The colours shown may also differ between items because the images are made by different photographers.
Depending on the production process of the piece, the colour of solid gold may vary. This is inherent to the material. - Custom work and upcycling
Custom-made jewellery cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded. Custom work means making a collection piece to size or in a specific colour, or a new design.
If a custom or upcycling commission is stopped for any reason, the deposit or the design costs incurred cannot be reclaimed.
All jewellery to which engravings and/or glass are added cannot be exchanged after purchase, as it is made entirely to the customer's specifications. - Disclaimer daily gold price
The value of gold is calculated on the basis of the current daily price at the time of intake. The daily gold price fluctuates continuously as a result of developments on the international precious metals markets. For that reason, price differences may occur between the moment of intake and a later time. No rights can be derived from previously communicated or indicative prices. - Delivery
Elisa Lee will deliver the piece to the customer no later than six to eight weeks after the confirmation email. All our jewellery is made to order, which is why this period is needed to complete an order.
During the ordering procedure, the customer can indicate how the parcel may be sent and is responsible for this delivery method. The shipping costs of the parcel are borne by the customer.
The goods, by whatever means of transport they are sent – by registered post, Bpost, Mikropakket or private courier – always travel, even if carriage paid, at the risk and responsibility of the customer. From the moment the order is handed over to the carrier, the customer bears the full risk of shipping.
Elisa Lee cannot be held liable for delays, loss, damage, strikes or any other shortcomings during transport or due to circumstances beyond our control.
If the customer does not accept the parcel on the communicated date or does not collect it from a pickup point, the order will automatically be returned to Elisa Lee. We will then contact the customer to arrange a new delivery. In that case, additional delivery costs may be charged to the customer. - Shipping costs
The shipping costs of a parcel in Belgium (postage, jewellery box, registration and insurance of your parcel) amount to 10 euros for orders up to 500 euros, unless stated otherwise. For orders above 500 euros, shipping is free, unless stated otherwise. Registered shipments within Europe cost 10 euros and registered shipments outside Europe cost 65 euros, both regardless of the order value. For a paper gift voucher, the shipping costs are 10 euros.
Orders of 50 euros or more are always sent by registered post or via a courier service. Of course, these costs only need to be paid once. The shipping costs remain payable even if you return the order in whole or in part; the customer is then responsible for the costs of returning the item. - Liability
Unfortunately, Elisa Lee cannot accept liability for the consequences of incorrect data entered by the customer. As a customer, you are responsible for all shipments from Elisa Lee that arrive at the delivery address you provided. To avoid miscommunication, we advise you to inform us immediately of a change of address when you move.
Complaints regarding non-conformity or visible defects of the order, or complaints about the execution, must be reported to us in writing within three days of receipt of the order. The jewellery must be returned unworn to Elisa Lee. If these conditions are not respected, the complaint will be considered inadmissible.
Elisa Lee cannot be held liable for complaints arising from a product being out of stock or delivered later due to force majeure. If we are prevented from fulfilling our obligations by circumstances beyond our control (such as theft, incorrect communication by the customer or unforeseen breakage of stones during non-faulty handling), we are released from our obligations and cannot be held responsible after we have informed the customer of the force majeure in writing. - Right of withdrawal
Every Elisa Lee piece is unique and is adapted in colour and size at the customer's request. Custom-made jewellery cannot be exchanged. There is therefore no right of withdrawal on custom work. By paying a deposit, you agree to the order for the custom work. Afterwards, these placed orders for custom work can no longer be cancelled. - Warranty
Every Elisa Lee piece comes with a statutory warranty of 2 years. This applies to manufacturing defects and not to wear and tear. We always place the warranty certificate at the bottom of the jewellery box. With solid gold jewellery and diamonds, we give the customer a certificate of authenticity. - Origin of precious metals and gemstones
The gemstones offered by Elisa Lee were purchased from legally recognised sources and are not involved in conflicts, in accordance with United Nations resolution #1173 11761306 1343. We hereby guarantee that these gemstones are conflict-free, based on personal knowledge and/or written confidential guarantees obtained from the supplier of these gemstones.
The precious metals used by Elisa Lee come from conflict-free areas. Our partners never buy directly from mining companies. The suppliers we work with are ISO-certified and committed to corporate social responsibility.
The clarity and colour of our diamonds are always the same up to a stone size of 4 mm. Here we choose white diamonds with colour grade G, F, E or D. For stones larger than 4 mm, we speak of custom work and, independently of this colour grading, we search the international market for the best diamond with the most favourable characteristics for the customer's request. - Engravings
The customer can choose an engraving in one of the Elisa Lee fonts or their own font, drawing or handwriting. Our engravings are made with great precision and care, but are not an exact copy of a technical drawing. The position of the engraving on the piece can be discussed, but a slight deviation is always possible. As engravings are handwork, the customer must take an element of artistic freedom into account. Elisa Lee is therefore not liable for a limited modification of the engraving. - Surcharge for engraving layout
When the customer chooses a variation in positioning and size of an engraving proposed by Elisa Lee, we look together at which variant best suits the customer's piece. Elisa Lee emails the newly proposed design and welcomes the customer's feedback. Would you like to adjust the variant further? That's certainly possible! Please note that a cost of 30 euros is charged per emailed version on top of the cost of the engraving.
Besides an engraving in one of our fonts, a variation on a theme, or their own font or handwriting, the customer can also choose a completely new design. In this case, Elisa Lee designs a new engraving specifically for the piece. For this we charge 150 euros per design on top of the cost of the engraving, with one round of corrections of the proposal included in the price.
For an engraving in one of our fonts and our examples, or for the customer's own font, drawing or handwriting as is, Elisa Lee charges no extra cost on top of the engraving. - Size adjustment for self-measured sizes
Estimating the right size of a piece of jewellery for yourself or a loved one is not always easy. Every piece is different, so sizes can vary depending on the shape. Determining a ring size yourself with your own tools often leads to inaccuracies.
Our staff are therefore happy to help measure the correct size in our shops. For surprise moments such as gifts or engagements, we also offer the option of borrowing a prototype. This prototype looks like the final piece and can be taken home immediately for the special moment. Afterwards, we welcome you in the shop to determine the ring size and any colour or model choices precisely, after which we make the final piece entirely to measure.
Are you sure of the right size and would you like to order a personalised piece straight away? That is of course possible. Please note that Elisa Lee cannot be held liable for an incorrectly stated size. The size can be adjusted afterwards, but – depending on the piece – there may be a cost involved. - Care
Gold-plated jewellery is treated with gold polish and polishing cloths. These give a beautiful shine and prevent oxidation spots. Bring the piece in for re-plating in good time. Silver jewellery can oxidise a little faster. Use silver polish for this.
If a gold piece or your diamond loses its shine, you can immerse the piece in a bowl of water with a little neutral washing-up liquid. Then clean with a soft toothbrush and rinse thoroughly. Polish the metal with a soft cloth and the piece is "shiny as new". Dirty chores? Put your jewellery aside just to be safe. Avoid greasy or chemical products. Store your jewellery separately in a dry, dark place to prevent scratches. Take care of me. - Gold plating
A gold-plated piece has a layer of 24K gold on top of its silver core. This layer can wear over time due to friction with the body or clothing. This is a normal process. With rings this happens faster than with other jewellery, because a ring undergoes the most friction. But earrings, necklaces and bracelets can also use a new layer of gold after a while. Customers are always welcome at Elisa Lee to bring in our jewellery for re-plating. This service is, however, not covered by the warranty.
Tip: taking care of a piece can slow down the wear process. For example, you can take off your jewellery and pat it dry when it comes into contact with water or products, and you can choose not to wear bracelets and necklaces together so they don't rub against each other. We also advise against swimming or showering with gold-plated jewellery. With solid 18K jewellery, however, this is not a problem. - Trust
When the collaboration, regardless of its duration, is no longer experienced as productive, or trust has been unilaterally breached, Elisa Lee reserves the right to unilaterally terminate the collaboration without prior written notice. The termination of the collaboration will, where applicable, be communicated via our website or email. - Complaints
